Clean hands, healthy communities
Handwashing with soap is one of the simplest ways to stop disease, protect newborns, and keep kids in school. But it only works when there is clean water close to home. WaterAid works with local partners to bring water, toilets, and hygiene essentials to homes, schools, and health centers, and helps communities manage those services so they last.
WaterAid also takes what it learns on the ground to governments and funders, pushing them to make water, sanitation, and hygiene a priority. Its goal is to reach 400 million more people by 2032.
