No this is not a new giving vehicle. It is an activation layer for philanthropy you are already doing. You continue supporting the causes you care about through your existing nonprofit structures; Inspired helps charitable capital reach further by turning it into funded donation gifts that can be unlocked through real-world participation. You do not need to do anything new. Just tell us you are in and we will handle the rest.
Inspired Gifts are funded by major donors like you and powered by Inspired and The Inspired Foundation. They are not funded by the people who unlock them or by the companies that offer them. An Inspired Gift is the chance to choose which cause receives a donation: people unlock a free donation gift through our distribution network, then direct that gift to a cause they care about. When they select your cause, your commitment is unlocked bit by bit.
Yes. Inspired is designed to work alongside your existing philanthropy, not replace it. Whether you give personally, through a family office, foundation, donor-advised fund, or another charitable structure, the Inspired model is intended to help what you already give generate broader awareness, engagement, and downstream support for the causes you care about. When it's time for you to donate, you give directly to the nonprofit you chose, at no added cost to you or the nonprofit. Donations never flow through Inspired.
Yes. Donors do not need to be public but sharing about your impact, and your decision to give the Inspired way just inspires more people to do the same. And that benefits all of us.
